A jacket, no pants.. damn, this reminds me of myself! :D

You must be a hit with the ladies.

Good Gravy, you remember that old stuff?! Ever play the early Leisure Suit Larry games?

Oh, I might've glimpsed the 1991 version of the first Leisure Suit Larry years after its release, but by the time I was old enough the series wouldn't have been on my radar. Unfortunately, I haven't revisited those games since. Which one(s) would you recommend?

Hmm, always played other ppl's versions, but did buy a LSL game for the PS2 some years ago... almost impossible to beat. Just tried to find some other PC games from that period, with no luck.

The really interesting PC games back then were only mail-order, and sometimes a bit sketchy looking from the magazine ads. The only game I ever ordered by mail, was Wasteland, the precursor to Fallout. I had a Flash version of it around somewhere....

The magazine ads were sometimes ambiguous to the point of uselessness. In a recent AVGN episode James Rolfe pointed out a description for the original "Legend of Zelda" in a magazine ad that read simply, "Gather crystals to stop warlords."

If you're looking for a JAVA version of Wasteland, it looks like XTDOS has posted it: http://www.xtdos.com/game.php?id=1461

Wow, thanks, sure blanked out looking at that site! Sure, they don't have all the ancient games I remember, but it's a pretty good looking collection!

Somewhere, I have the original floppies (4, which you had to make copies of, so the game could save on whatever disk you were on) to Wasteland for the Apple II series.. which looked a tad different than the PC version. Ah, nothing like feeling old... makes me want to run out and buy a PS4 and GTA5.
