Hello again Newgrounders,
Sadly, my vacation is over as of today and it's back to work on a handful of simultaneous video game OST's. Here are some updates regarding the progress I've made on some of the larger projects. I have been very busy this past month working on some promising video game and film projects which I'd like to share with you all, so bear with me while I try not to forget anyone!
I have finished the score for Metal Mayhem, an upcoming freeware game by Nonsuch Games. (The soundtrack features the remarkable Pots & Pans VST by spacedad.) To learn more about Nonsuch Games and play some of the past releases visit www.nonsuchgames.com. I have already uploaded the first of the OST's three tracks here to Newgrounds; the other two tracks will be made available as soon as the game is released to the public.
I have also finished the soundtrack for Survivor Reborn, an upcoming HTML5 release by SoulSnatcher. The game is a remake of Soulsnatcher's popular downloadable game Survivor.
And here are some of the work-in-progress projects, for which I'm contributing original music:
****The Spyro-esque game Draco Chronicles: Unbalance (screenshot shown below, read an interview with the game's creator on IndieGraph, visit the project forums)
****Most Wanted, an open-source Grand Theft Auto-style engine (visit the developer's devlog on the Game Maker Community forums)
****Uebie's upcoming flash surrounding his "Mr. Munn" character (view a short animated sample on DeviantArt)
****An unannounced iOS game with SMitchell94 (in which the game publisher Chillingo has happily expressed some interest)
****The new still-untitled stone-throwing Flashpunk game by Unlogic (read more about the game on the FlashPunk forums, play the demo or view the developer's blog)
****A new short by filmmaker Brian Burke (see his previous films A Trojan Odyssey and Just Another Dream Of Mine)
****And some unannounced upcoming flash projects by Legodude2000, DingoWalleyStudio, Alwayssim, NobleOneNinja, and Smelly Cat Studios.
Finally, I'd like to showcase the online interview I recently conducted with SantoNinoDeCebu on his personal approach to game development, which I have posted on my website.
Now, it's time to unpack!
Sincerely,
Ben
